Congratulations to the VHS Marching Eagle Band on a great competitive season. The band earned all superior ratings at the Hartselle and Hayden Contests this year and the majorettes and dancers were best in class at both competitions. At the hayden contest the majorettes and color guard were second out of the 15 competing bands and the dancers were first. All groups had a fantastic year and our community should be very proud. Way to go Marching Eagles!
Congratulations to the Vinemont Marching Eagle Band on receiving the Martha Burchell- Nationwide insurance Channel 2 Inside Cullman County Football Marching Band of the Week award at a presentation made at today’s pep rally.
I would like to take just a minute to let everyone know how awesome last night was. The parental turnout was amazing. It gives me great confidence about the future of our organization. Almost every student in our band program had a parent involved in some capacity last night. Whether you worked concessions, swamp Johns or chaperoned it took everyone pulling together to make it happen for these kids. You all responded in an overwhelming way and I am truly grateful. I want to also thank our band booster officers for organizing the dinner, concessions and field crew. The kids did an OUTSTANDING job in the stands and on the field at halftime and if you didn’t get to see it because you were working somewhere don’t worry because the show just gets better every week. Because of everyone’s hard work we were able to raise over $4,000 in an evening. I’m so proud of our kids and parents and I wanted to let you know that all your hard work does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. I feel humbled and blessed to get to work with such a great group of kids and parents. So please enjoy the remainder of your weekend and start getting pumped for the long ride to Winfield next Friday night. I will have an itinerary on the website before Wednesday of this week.
